CASING REPAIRS

Pump Repair - Rebuild scroll pump bores

Rebuild scroll pump bores.

Problem: The clearance between the bore of a scroll pump and the rotor is critical to the operation of the pump. If this clearance is increased then the pump will not operate. Damage to the bores can be caused by corrosion, erosion in the form of abrasion, or more commonly, a combination of both.

Belzona Solution: Belzona’s range of erosion-corrosion resistant coatings can be applied to minimize the effects of the working environment and thus extend the maintenance intervals of the pump to an acceptable and manageable time frame.

Pump Repair - Rebuild and protect end covers

Rebuild and protect end covers.

Problem: The clearance between the end cover of a rotary positive displacement pump and the end of the rotor is critical to the successful operation of the pump since, if the gap between the two becomes too large then the liquid being pumped will short circuit within the pump body.

Belzona Solution: Damage due to erosion-corrosion can be repaired and the pump protected using the Belzona 1000 Series Metallic Polymers of the 2000 Series Elastomers, dependent on the type and usage of the pump.

Pump Repair - Repair cracked and holed casings
  • Repair cracked and holed casings.
  • Rebuild rotary pump casings.
  • Rebuild reciprocating pump valve seats.
  • Repair scored cylinders in reciprocating pumps.
  • Rebuild and protect eductor/venturi pump casings.
  • Coat peristaltic pump casing to prevent chaffing of liners.

ROTOR REPAIRS

Pump Repair - Rebuild rotary vane pump guide slots

Rebuild rotary vane pump guide slots.

Problem: The guide slots for the vanes can often become worn, corroded and/or clogged-up causing the rotary vane pump to become less efficient or seize up all together.

Belzona Solution: By coating the vane with Belzona 9411 (Release Agent) it can be used in conjunction with a Belzona 1000 Series Metallic Polymer to reform the slot in which it operates. Once rebuilt and protected with Belzona, further problems will be eliminated.

Pump Repair - Cast lobes for rotary lobe pumps

Cast lobes for rotary lobe pumps.

Diagnosis: The clearance between the lobe of the pump and the casing is critical to the operation of the pump. If this clearance opens up then the pump will not operate. Damage to the lobes is usually caused by abrasion.

Belzona Solution: Belzona 2100 Series Elastomers can be used to mold new lobes. The outstanding abrasion resistance of these products means that the “Belzona Component” has been proven in tests to outlast the original components.
