Official Opening of Belzona’s New Asia Pacific Office
On Thursday 25th February 2010, Belzona celebrated the official opening ceremony of their new Asia Pacific Office, having relocated to a larger facility based in Laem Chabang, Thailand.
This new office will function as a regional office for Belzona’s Asia Pacific and Middle East Distributors and as a global training centre for Belzona Distributors worldwide. The new facility offers a state of the art training area, which is purpose built to demonstrate situations in which Belzona products can be applied giving a more realistic ‘hands-on’ experience of applications.
The opening of this facility is of great importance to Belzona as it is an investment that follows their Global Business Strategy, which is to adapt service to customers wherever they are in the world. The aim of the new facility in Thailand is to deliver high standard application training and localised service to customers utilising Belzona’s global expertise and over 55 years of experience.
During the opening ceremony, Dr. Bill Ashcroft, Managing Director of Belzona Polymerics explained the reason for the large investment in the Asia Pacific region: ‘Belzona sells through a global network of over 160 exclusive Distributors operating in 125 countries, 42 of these Distributors are located within the Asia and Middle East Region. Thanks to continuing confidence and foresight to reinvest in our business by the Belzona President Mr Joel Svendsen, we are currently rapidly expanding our corporate global footprint which is in line with our vision to significantly grow our business.'
Ron Campbell, Senior Vice President of Belzona Asia Pacific thanked his staff for their hard work and dedication in ensuring the new facility was ready in time for the opening ceremony and recognised the commitment from the shareholders to establishing the new facility. Mr Campbell also encouraged the Belzona Distributors present to take advantage of the extensive training capabilities this development offers their individual businesses by providing the means to increase the knowledge and capabilities of their personnel.
The cutting of the ribbon by Ron Campbell and Belzona President Mr Joel Svendsen took place after these speeches to declare Belzona Asia Pacific officially open. The new facility is the latest development in Belzona Asia Pacific, which was established in 2005 to provide support to Belzona's Distributors and customers in the Asia Pacific and Middle East markets.
Videos taken of future application training courses will be transmitted to the rest of the world as a remote technical learning tool. This facility will be also hosting Belzona customers which include large international companies across various industries from all over the world in order to demonstrate Belzona’s problem solving capabilities and customer-orientated service.
