All companies have facilities in which they conduct business in whether it be manufacturing or service related. And having a facility comes with the inherent responsibility of maintaining it. This responsibility is ongoing, costs money and is time consuming. Belzona's Advanced Polymers offer many benefits in regards to facilities maintenance that are not available with conventional materials including reduced downtime, permanent solutions, and reduced costs.
Belzona is the perfect solution for problems associated with safety, hygiene, energy efficiency, water penetration, and overall structural protection. The following applications are a small sample of what can be accomplished with Belzona.
The external concrete steps at this university were in a dangerous, damaged condition from frost. Belzona® 4131 (Magma Screed) is easy to apply, incredibly strong and provides uniform step sizes for safer use.
The diving board at this leisure complex was a slip and fall hazard due to the smooth, wet surface. A Belzona 1000 Series Metallic Polymer which incorporates Belzona´s Surefoot Non Skid Aggregate was applied, providing safe surface for bare, wet feet.
The tile grout at this bottling plant began to breakdown from chemical attack. The defective grout was removed and the tiles were re-grouted with Belzona® 4111 (Magma Quartz), which provides a chemical resistant grouting that's impervious to many chemicals.
Drains in this school swimming pool were decaying from chlorine attack. The defective material was cut out to get the substrate free of chemical contamination. Drain channels were reformed with Belzona® 4231, a rapid curing Quartz.
This sports stadium's HVAC chiller units were showing severe corrosion problems. The chiller's tube plates were vacuum blasted to remove all corrosion. A Belzona 1000 Series Metallic Polymer was applied to the prepared surface to repair the surface and eliminate further corrosion.
The metal gutter joints at this water authority workshop were leaking water. The gutter was cleaned and treated with Belzona 3000 Series Metal Surface Conditioner. Belzona® 3111 (Flexible Membrane) was applied to joints to provide long term watertight seal.
A soft drink manufacturers international headquarters had a Skylight leaking water through the glazing bars and flashing detail. Substrates degreased and cleaned. Belzona 3000 Series Flexible Membrane applied to glazing bars, upstands and flashing problem areas for a long term solution.
The chemical containment area at this manufacturing plant was suffering severe chemical attack from storage tanks and spillage. The affected area was cleaned and decontaminated by steam cleaning. Repairs were undertaken with Belzona® 4111 (Magma Quartz). Whole area coated with Belzona® 4311 (CR1) - offering long term chemical protection.
The badly spalling concrete of municipal building's entrance canopy was due to water penetration, carbonization of concrete and corrosion of the reinforcement bars. All the loose concrete was removed and the steel reinforcement bars were rotary-cleaned. A Belzona 4000 Series System was used to rebuild concrete and Belzona 3000 Series Membrane applied for anti carbonization protection and decorative finish.
