Marketing Assistant French Speaking

Job description

Based at our head office in Harrogate, North Yorkshire, this is a fantastic opportunity for a candidate to commence or further their career in B2B marketing with a focus on regional marketing activities (French speaking market).

Working closely with other members of the Marketing Department, the Marketing Assistant will be involved in a variety of marketing activities including content writing for internal and external publications, PR activities, creation of sales literature and videos, digital marketing, design support, market research and event organisation, with the aim to raise brand awareness, generate leads and bring return on investment.

Person Specification

In addition to a relevant marketing related qualification and/or experience in a marketing role, the successful candidate will also have the following:

Essential skills:

  • Excellent communication skills, fluency in English and French
  • Flexible approach to working, with superb organisational and project management skills and a proven ability to handle pressurised situations
  • Knowledge of the local market and culture (French)
  • Highly flexible approach to working, with superb organisational and project management skills and a proven ability to handle pressurised situations
  • Ability to work as part of a team and demonstrate initiative by taking personal ownership of projects
  • Ability to learn new software quickly

Desirable skills and experience:

  • Experience in B2B marketing, preferably in an industrial sector
  • Experience in events organisation including exhibitions, open days, webinars and seminars
  • Knowledge of digital marketing including website copywriting, SEO techniques, SEM/PPC and email marketing.
  • Experience in market research applied to the new product development process – market potential, competitor analysis, etc.
  • Experience of using the following software: MS Office, InDesign, Wordpress, CRM system/s, Office 365 (OneDrive, Sharepoint, Planner), Sage
  • Knowledge of the print process
